Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana

Main objectives are :

1. Extending the coverage of irrigation
2. Improving water use efficiency
3. End to end solution on source creation, distribution, management, field application and extension activities.
   
4. It is formulated by amalgamating ongoing schemes
5. Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP) - Ministry of Water Resources, River
   Development & Ganga Rejuvenation (MoWR,RD&GR).
6. Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) - Department of Land
   Resources (DoLR), Ministry of Rural Developement.
7. On Farm Water Management (OFWM) - Department of Agriculture and Cooperation
   (DAC).
   
8. Implementation - Decentralised manner through State Irrigation Plan and District
   Irrigation Plan.
