Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

All candidates must have participated in UPSSSC PET 2025 and hold a valid scorecard. Shortlisting for the main examination is based on normalized PET 2025 scores. Candidates with zero or negative absolute or normalized PET scores will not be shortlisted.

• Junior Engineer (Electrical) – PWD and departments following PWD rules: High School or recognized equivalent and a three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, or government-recognized equivalent.
• Junior Engineer (Electrical) – Directorate of Electrical Safety: Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a government-recognized university or institution, with ability to read and write Hindi in Devanagari script.
• Electrician – UPSRTC: Diploma in Electrical Engineering along with an Electrical Supervisory Licence.
• Technical Assistant (Electrical) – Ground Water Department: Three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, or a government-recognized equivalent qualification.
• Research Assistant – Research Development and Training Institute, Kanpur: Diploma in Electrical Engineering and two years of teaching experience.
• Junior Engineer (Electrical) – UP Rajkiya Nirman Nigam / UP State Construction and Infrastructure Development Corporation: Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a government-recognized institution.

Qualification Cut-off Date: All required qualifications must be held by 27 November 2026.

Candidates with at least two years in the Territorial Army or an NCC 'B' Certificate may receive preference when other conditions are equal. Reserved category age relaxation applies as per UP Government rules.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. PET 2025 Score-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted using normalized PET 2025 scores. Those with zero or negative normalized scores will not qualify for the main examination.
2. Main Written Examination: One objective-type question paper with 100 questions carrying 100 marks. Duration is 120 minutes. Negative marking of 0.25 marks per incorrect answer applies. Subjects covered include Basic Electrical Engineering (65 marks), Computer and Information Technology (15 marks), and General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh (20 marks).
3. Document Scrutiny: Final selection requires verification of educational qualifications, eligibility, and all supporting documents.

Application Processing Fee: Rs. 25 for all categories at the application stage. The main examination fee must be paid separately by shortlisted candidates before downloading the admit card. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the examination.
