The SSC CGL recruitment process adheres strictly to the reservation norms of the Government of India for all categories, including Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
  • EWS Reservation: 10% of the vacancies are horizontally reserved for candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SC/ST/OBC. Candidates must possess a valid Income and Asset Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.
  • PwBD Reservation: Horizontal reservation is provided for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), generally a minimum of 4% of the total vacancies. This reservation is applied category-wise across different disability groups (OH, HH, VH, Others).
* Age Relaxation: PwBD candidates are eligible for significant age relaxation (10 to 15 years, depending on the base category: Unreserved, OBC, or SC/ST).

Reservation benefits are granted only to candidates who submit the requisite, valid certificates in the format prescribed by the Government of India as on the closing date of receipt of the application.
