The age limit for SSC CHSL is 18–27 years as of 1st January of the examination year. This applies uniformly to all posts under CHSL, including Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO).

Age relaxations are provided as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- EWS: No age relaxation
- PwBD: 10 years (15 years for SC/ST-PwBD; 13 years for OBC-PwBD)
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to 3 years in addition to community-based relaxation, as per DoPT guidelines

Candidates must ensure their date of birth falls within the specified range (including applicable relaxations) as per the official notification.
