What is the selection process for SSC CHSL?

The SSC CHSL selection process consists of three tiers:

- Tier-I: Computer-Based Objective Test (Preliminary)
- Tier-II: Computer-Based Descriptive Paper (English or Hindi essay, letter/application writing)
- Tier-III: Skill Test/Typing Test (qualifying in nature, post-specific)

Key details:
- Tier-I and Tier-II marks are counted for final merit (with normalization)
- Tier-III is only for qualifying; no marks awarded
- Typing Test: Required for LDC/JSA and PA/SA (35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi)
- Skill Test: Required for DEO (8,000 key depressions per hour)

Candidates must clear all stages to be considered for final selection.
