Recruitment Type: This is Direct Recruitment based on merit. It does not involve a written examination. Selection will be based on academic performance (MBBS aggregate marks) and ranking in the INI-CET PG Entrance Examination (January 2026 session).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed MBBS (including completion of Internship) or an equivalent degree recognized by NMC/MCI/DCI.
• Cut-off Date: Only degrees recognized on or after 01.01.2023 will be considered.
• Registration: Valid registration with the Telangana State Medical Council (TSMC) is mandatory before joining (if selected).
• FMGE Candidates: Indian citizens who did MBBS outside India must have passed the MCI screening test (FMGE).
• Preference: Candidates who graduated from AIIMS will be considered for allotment on a preferential basis.

Important Restrictions & Experience

• Candidates who have already completed three terms of Junior Residency (Non-Academic) either at AIIMS or elsewhere are not eligible.
• Those whose services were terminated previously at any AIIMS due to unauthorized absence or disciplinary grounds are ineligible.
• Experience in Army Services, Central Health Services, Private Nursing Homes, or Private Practice is considered equivalent to Junior Residency.

Selection Process

There is no written examination. The selection is based on a merit list determined as follows:

Step 1: Merit List Preparation

1. AIIMS Bibinagar Graduates: First preference is given to MBBS graduates from AIIMS Bibinagar. Merit is based on aggregate marks in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Professional examinations.
2. Other Candidates: Remaining posts are offered based on rank obtained in the INI-CET PG Entrance Examination (January 2026 Session).
3. Non-INICET Candidates: Candidates who did not appear for INI-CET will be ranked based on their MBBS aggregate percentage (or MCI screening exam percentage for FMGE graduates).

Step 2: Counseling/Interview

• Selection will be done strictly through counseling/interview based on the combined merit list.
• Candidates must bring two sets of photocopies and originals of all relevant documents (see How to Apply section).
• PwD candidates will be considered against reserved posts (UR/EWS/SC/ST/OBC) subject to medical fitness certification.
