Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Invites Application for Assistant Professor Recruitment 2022

ONLINE applications are invited from Indian Nationals (including Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Cardholders under Section-7A of the Ctizenship Act, 1955) on the prescribed form for the temporary appointment of Assistant Professor (Contractual) ONE POST in the Department of Foreign Languages, Faculty of International Studies AMU, Aligarh. The appointment will be purely temporary till the end of the Academic Session 2021-22 or till General Selection Committee is held whichever is eariier and liable to termination at ańy time without any notice or assignment of reason. The vacancy is as follows

3. Essential Qualifications: Good Academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading systems is followed) at the Master's Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.

a. Besides fufiling the above qualifications, the candidate must have clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) Conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLETI SET. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub clause (i) and (i) above candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the

b. University Grants Commission (Minimum standard and Procedure for award of Ph. D degree) regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and Appointment of Assistant Professor of Equivalent positions in the Universities/ College/ Institutions. NET/SELTI/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

c. Further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for the M.Phil./Ph D programme prior to July 11 2009, shall be governed by provisions of the then existing Ordinance/By Laws/Regulations of the institution awarding the degrees and the Ph. D candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of 'NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ institutions subject to the fulfilment of the conditions

d. The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode. Evaluation of the Ph D thesis by at least two external examiners. An Open Ph.D. Viva -Voce of the candidate had been conducted Candidates have published two reesearch papers out of which at least one in the referred journal from out of his/her Ph D work. The candidate had presented two papers in seminars/ conferences from out of his/ her PhD work. (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice Chancelor/Registrar/Controlier of Examinations.
