Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Part Time Correspondent

• Essential Qualification: PG Diploma / Degree in journalism / Mass Media or Graduate with minimum 2 years journalistic experience. Should reside at the respective district Headquarters or within a radius of 10 kms. from the District Headquarters/ Municipal limit in the district for which he/she is being engaged. Knowledge of computer and word processing. Possession of news gathering devices.
• Experience: Graduate with minimum 2 years journalistic experience.
• Desirable: Experience of coverage for electronic media.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 24 years
• Maximum Age: 50 years

Salary / Remuneration

Monthly remuneration will be calculated as per NSD's circular No. RNU/PTC Guidelines/Modification/2022/1152, dated- 28.08.2024. The monthly remuneration is on an average Rs. 9,250/- including conveyance and telephone charges.

Selection Process

The selection process will involve an interview based on qualifications, professional experience, knowledge about district and State, current affairs, awareness of welfare schemes of the Central Government, acquaintance with Radio news, journalistic aptitude, writing skills, and familiarization with communication technologies. Initial engagement will be monitored for three months.
