The Andaman & Nicobar Administration invites applications from interested person for appointment to the post of Member on Forum for Redressal of Grievances of Consumers set up in this UT under the said Regulation. 1. Name of the Post: Member 2. Qualification: Shall be a retired Officer of any State/ Central Power Sector Departrnent's/ PSU not below the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent possessing degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering and having at least 13 years experience preferably in matters relating to the distribution of Electricity or a serving Officer of the distribution licensee of the sarne jurisdiction not below the rank of Executive Engineer. (Not below the rank of Assistant Engineer in case of Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands). 3. Tenure: (i) That the Member shall hold office for a term of three years from date of appointment or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever is earliest as per provision (1) of Regulation 10 of JERC Notification dated 11.09.2019. The Licensee shall ensure that working of Forum is not disrupted on account of non-filling of the vacancy. (ii) In case any Member decides to relinquish the post, he may do so after giving a notice of two (2) months in writing to Licensee or deposit two months salary in lieu thereof. 4. Allowances: The pay and allowances and other conditions of services of the Member from amongst the 'serving Officers shall be same as he shall be otherwise entitled while in service alongwith deputation allowance as admissible. The Member other than mentioned in class - I (ii) above shall be eligible to receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs.60,000/- (Rupees sixty thousand only) per month. They shall also be entitled for TA/DA while out on duty as eligible to class-I Officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary in the Central Government. They shall also be entitled for 12 days casual leave in a calendar year.
