Eligibility for Assistant Professor (Broad Specialties - Clinical & Non-Clinical)
- Essential Qualification: PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty from institutions recognized by MCI/NMC.
- Experience: Candidates must be working in Directorate of Medical Education, Civil Assistant Surgeons working in Directorate of Public Health & Family Welfare or Directorate of Secondary Health (APVVP) only. Must be an approved probationer or completed probation period. No disciplinary charges pending and not in unauthorized absence.
- Lateral Entry Specific: Candidates already working as Assistant Professors under Director of Medical Education are not eligible for the same specialty. Submit NOC from HoD in prescribed format (Annexure-IV).
Eligibility for Assistant Professor (Super Specialty)
- Essential Qualification: PG Degree (DNB/DrNB/DM/MCh) in the concerned super specialty from institutions recognized by MCI/NMC.
- Experience: Same lateral entry eligibility as Broad Specialties applies.
- Lateral Entry Specific: After selection, candidates will be posted as Senior Resident for one year, then appointed as Assistant Professor.
