Assam Agricultural University (AAU) was established in the year 1969. The university is located in Jorhat, Assam. It is headquartered at Borbheta. Assam Agricultural University has following colleges under it - College of Agriculture, College of Home Science, College of Veterinary Science (C.V.Sc.), College of Fishery Science, Biswanath College of Agriculture, Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science (L.C.V.Sc.).
