| Nationality | Citizen of India as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. |
| Educational Qualification | HSLC Passed. |
| Driving License | Valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) Licence. |
| Age Limit (as on submission date) | 18 to 40 years. Age relaxation as per Government norms for reserved categories. |
Educational Qualification & Experience:HSLC Passed from a recognized board. Must possess a valid LMV Driving Licence. Experience certificates, if any, will be considered an additional qualification.
Skills:Driving, vehicle maintenance, basic motor mechanics, road safety knowledge.
Salary (per month):
₹15,000/- (Fixed Pay) per month.
Selection Procedure:
- Stage-I (Skill Test): Driving Test to assess driving skill, knowledge of vehicle maintenance, and basic motor mechanics.
- Stage-II (Viva-Voce/Interview): Candidates who qualify the skill test will be called for an interview.

Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ashutosh Kumar, Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court is the Patron-in-Chief and Hon’ble Justice Shri Michael Zothankhuma, Judge, Gauhati High Court is the Executive Chairman of the Authority. ASLSA is housed at 1st Floor, Gauhati High Court Old Block, Guwahati-781001, Assam.
In every State, State Legal Services Authority has been constituted to give effect to the policies and directions of the NALSA (National Legal Services Authority) and to give free legal services to the people and conduct Lok Adalats in the State. The State Legal Services Authority is headed by Hon’ble the Chief Justice of the High Court who is the Patron-in-Chief of the State Legal Services Authority.
