Recruitment Overview

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Training Centre for Disability Sports (ABV-TCDS), Gwalior, functioning under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, invites applications for the recruitment of 02 posts on a Deputation basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for officers working in Central/State Govt, Universities, PSUs, or Autonomous bodies to serve in the field of Disability Sports. Recruitment Type: This is a Direct Recruitment/Deputation based on interview. No written examination will be conducted; selection will be based on the merit of the candidate's service record and interview performance.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Deputy Director (Sports)

• Education: Graduation from a recognized university.
• Experience (Deputation):
  • Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis in Sports Administration, OR
  • Officers in Level-10 with 5 years regular service in Sports Administration, OR
  • Officers in Level-8 with 10 years regular service in Sports Administration.
• Desirable: Degree/Diploma in Sports Management or Sports Coaching; Experience in handling Disability Sports activities.

2. Administration & Account Officer

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Economics/Business Administration (or related subject) from a recognized University. Must have working knowledge of computers.
• Experience (Deputation):
  • Officers holding analogous posts dealing with accounts, administration, finance, etc., OR
  • 5 years regular service in Level 8+ dealing with accounts/admin/finance, OR
  • 8 years regular service in Level 7+ dealing with accounts/admin/finance.

Physical Standards & Disability Requirements

Critical Note: These posts are specifically reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). The suitable categories of disability for the post of Deputy Director are:

• Blindness (B), Low Vision (LV)
• Deafness (D), Hard of Hearing (HH)
• Locomotor Disability (OA, BA, OL, BL, OAL, CP, LC, Dw, AAV, MDy)
• Mental Illness (MI)
• Multiple Disabilities (excluding Deaf-Blindness)

Functional Requirements: The job requires capabilities in Sitting (S), Standing (ST), Walking (W), Manipulation by Fingers (MF), and Reading & Writing (RW).

Age Relaxation

The maximum age limit is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application. Since this is a deputation post for Govt servants, standard statutory age relaxations apply as per Govt. of India norms.

Selection Procedure

Since this is a Deputation recruitment:

• No Written Exam: There is no preliminary or mains examination.
• Interview: The Group A level posts will be filled via an Interview.
• Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates whose service records meet the criteria will be called for the interview.
• Documents: Selection is subject to verification of ACRs, Integrity Certificates, and Vigilance Clearance.

• Mode of Payment: Demand Draft (DD) drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of "Centre for Disability Sports Gwalior" payable at Gwalior.
