BMRCL invites applications from qualified and experienced personnel for appointment as Senior Transport Planner (Consultant) / Junior Transport Planner (Consultant) on contract basis.

4. Experience:
a) A total of 5-8 years of experience with at least 4 years of full-time work experience in planning/ designing/research/ implementation of urban transport systems
b) Experience of working on city level transport projects like planning for Multi-modal Integration, Last mile connectivity prioritizing pedestrianisation, PT and NMV etc., is essential
c) Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS is required; Knowledge in SPSS or other statistical analysis software will be an advantage
d) Strong ability to employ qualitative and quantitative analysis is essential. Should have adequate understanding of the other travel demand modelling/microscopic simulation and other transportation modeling software
e) Should be able to plan and administer data collection activities like traffic counts, opinion surveys, house hold surveys, O-D surveys, etc. necessary for urban transport projects.
f) Experience in working with public sector organizations and government agencies is desirable
g) Ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner (Reports/ presentations) with good written and spoken English skills
h) Proficiency in Kannada is desirable

3. Experience:
a) More than 8 years of experience with at least 6 years of full-time work experience in planning/ designing/research/implementation of urban transport systems
b) Experience in working with public sector organizations and government agencies is desirable
c) Experience in project management and strategic development of complex projects and processes is required
d) Good knowledge in the development and checking of transport models and model forecasts and analyses is required along with the knowledge in AutoCAD and GIS software.
e) Experience of working on city level transport projects like planning for Multi-modal Integration, Last mile connectivity prioritising pedestrianisation, PT and NMV etc.,
f) Good knowledge of Microsimulation/statistical software or other modeling software relevant to transportation planning • Should be able to oversee and analyse the traffic and transportation related datasets
g) Ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner (Reports/ presentations) with good written and spoken English skills is must
h) Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines Proficiency in Kannada is desirable

Selection Procedure
1. Selection will be through an online interview by a Committee constituted by the Competent Authority.
2. Candidates who have been shortlisted will only be called for interview.
3. The candidates shall have to join for interview as and when informed and shall have to produce the original documents /certificates at the time of joining.
