Selection Procedure

1. Fill the online application take print out of the application paste the latest passport size photo, sign it and send the hard copy to BMRCL addressed mentioned below. If we do not receive signed hard copy within the date prescribed, your candidature will not be considered for written test.

2. The selection will be made strictly on merit, on the basis of written examination. Short listed candidates will be called for verification of the original documents.

3. There shall be no negative marking in the written examination.

4. The syllabus for the written examination will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple answers and likely to include questions pertaining to General knowledge, General English, General Arithmetic, Analytical and Quantitative Skills and those subjects covered as part of minimum educational/technical qualifications for the post. There will be only one question paper.

5. The question paper will be in English and Kannada and the duration of the examination will be about 120 minutes with approximately 100 questions.

6. The BMRCL, at its discretion may hold additional written test(s) and/or interview / skill test if considered necessary for all or for a limited number of candidates as may be deemed fit by BMRCL.

7. Hall Ticket - verification of photograph on the Hall ticket and verification of original documents, in the Examination hall BMRCL will notify the date, place and time of examination on the web site upon which, Candidates may download their Hall ticket and accordingly appear for the examination. The Hall Ticket will contain candidate’s name, date of birth and age, post applied for, date of examination and examination centre.

a) It also contains space for photograph. Please affix a latest colour passport size photograph in the space provided in the Hall ticket. The Hall ticket comes in duplicate and hence photograph will have to be fixed on both the copies. When you go to the examination centre at the appointed time, you need to carry both the Hall tickets duly affixed with photographs. You need to sign on both the copies of the Hall ticket in the space provided, in front of the invigilator and the invigilator shall also sign on both the copies.

b) You shall give one copy to the invigilator and retain the other copy for your record. You should come to the examination with your Identity Card issued by the Defence. These two are required for verification to eliminate impersonation. If these two are not produced, when asked for by the invigilator, then you will not be allowed to take the written test

8. The written test will be held in the month of January /February 2022 by the Zilla Sainik Board, Bangalore (exact date, time and venue will be given in the Hall ticket, BMRCL will intimate through E-mail, SMS and publish in the website to download the hall ticket).

9. Candidates shortlisted for the selection based on the merit in the written test will be intimated through E-mail, SMS and through publication in BMRCL Website. However, BMRCL will not be responsible for lack of communication whatsoever if any, regarding such intimation.

10. If equal marks are obtained by two or more candidates, then the age of the candidate will be taken into consideration for preparing the merit list. The elder candidate will be shown as senior in the merit list.

11. The shortlisted candidates called for Original Document Verification, if cleared in the document verification process, then candidate will be sent to Medical Fitness Test.

12. The appointment of selected candidates is subject to his/her passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the BMRCL, final verification of education, age, caste certificates and verification of antecedent/character of the candidate.
