Post-Wise Vacancy & Stipend Details

Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), as per Government of India norms.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following post-specific requirements. The qualification must be from an AICTE or Government of India recognized institution, and the qualifying examination must have been passed on or after 01 October 2023.

• Graduate Apprentices (B.E./B.Tech – ECE, Mechanical, CS/IT): 4-year Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology degree in the relevant discipline from an AICTE or GOI recognized university/institute.
• Graduate Apprentices (B.Sc / B.Com / B.A.): 3-year Bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce, or Arts from a recognized university.
• Diploma Apprentices (Electrical, Mechanical): Diploma in the respective engineering discipline from an AICTE or GOI approved polytechnic institute.
• ITI Apprentices (Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Draughtsman-Mechanical, COPA, Welder G&E): Trade Certificate of completion issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
• Mandatory for all posts: Candidates must be registered on the NATS 2.0 or NAPS portal and must not have previously completed or currently be undergoing apprenticeship training under NATS or NAPS.
• Nationality: Indian Nationals only.

Selection Process & Walk-in Day Procedure

The selection for all 29 apprentice posts will be conducted through a walk-in interview at the BEL Taloja unit. There is no written examination. The process on the day is as follows:

1. Candidates must self-register at the venue on the designated walk-in date and reporting time.
2. Document verification of original certificates and mark sheets.
3. Personal interview conducted by BEL Navi Mumbai selection panel.

Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 35% in the interview (for General/EWS/OBC-NCL category) or 30% in the interview (for SC/ST/PwBD category) to be considered for selection.

TA/DA: No Travelling Allowance or Dearness Allowance will be paid to candidates attending the walk-in interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Walk-in Candidates

Candidates must carry the following original documents along with one photocopy each. Incomplete documentation may lead to disqualification.

1. SSLC / 10th Marks Card (Original and copy) as proof of date of birth
2. 12th Marks Card (Original and copy)
3. All Semester / Year Mark Sheets of Graduation, Diploma or ITI
4. Provisional B.E./B.Tech Certificate, or Provisional B.Sc/B.Com/B.A. Certificate, or Provisional Diploma Certificate, or ITI Trade Certificate (NCVT/SCVT)
5. SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / EWS / PwBD Certificate in the prescribed Central Government format (if claiming reservation or age relaxation)
6. NATS 2.0 or NAPS Registration Number and Enrolment Email Printout — mandatory
7. Aadhaar Card (Original and copy)
8. PAN Card (Original and copy)
9. Duly filled Application Form (attached as part of the Official Notification PDF)

Graduate Apprentices (B.E./B.Tech) receive Rs. 17,500; Graduate Apprentices (B.Sc/B.Com/B.A.) and Diploma Apprentices receive Rs. 12,500; ITI Apprentices receive Rs. 11,040 (most trades) or Rs. 10,560 (COPA and Welder G&E).

6. Can candidates who already completed NATS/NAPS apprenticeship apply?

No. Candidates who have already completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under NATS or NAPS are not eligible to apply for these posts.

7. Is TA/DA paid for attending the BEL walk-in interview?

No. BEL will not pay any Traveling Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) to candidates attending the walk-in interview.
