Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), popularly known as “JEEViKA” is an initiative of Govt. of Bihar, towards socio-economic development of rural poor in Bihar. As per the Govt. Mandate, JEEViKA got an opportunity of supplying School dresses to the students of all Govt. Schools. In this regard 25 State of the Art “Training cum Production center for stitching” will be established. It is, therefore, envisaged to engage competent resource person (consultant) with relevant experience in running and Managing Apparel Production centers. a) Name of Position: Production Manager b) No. of Vacancy: 25 c) Qualification and Experience: 1. Educational qualification: Matriculation 2. Must have 5+ years of experience in the Apparel production industry 3. Must possess a full understanding of garment construction including pattern, fit, and sewing details 4. Must have firm understanding of various fabric types and how each fabric type applies to different products 5. Must have a strong capacity for multitasking, organization, working independently and time management. 6. Must be able to prioritize and maintain a high level of accuracy doing multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment. 7. Candidates with experience of state/national level government institutions promoting large scale livelihood initiatives in the framework of SHG-VO-CLF is desirable. 8. Candidates having experience of floor planning and line setup for production will be given preference. d) Consolidated Honorarium: Upto Rs.30,000 to 50,000/month (Negotiable as per experience)

The Government of Bihar (GoB), through the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), an autonomous body under the Department of Rural Development, is spearheading the World Bank aided Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project (BRLP), locally known as JEEViKA with the objective of social & economic empowerment of the rural poor. Subsequently, the Livelihoods Restoration and Enhancement component of Bihar Kosi Flood Recovery Project (BKFRP) was also taken into the fold of JEEViKA.
Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India (GoI) has restructured the Central Scheme Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) into National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM). The cornerstone of the SGSY strategy that was implemented since 1999 was that the poor need to be organized and their capacities built up systematically so that they can access self-employment opportunities. SGSY has been more successful wherever mobilization of the poor into SHGs and their capacity building and skill development was taken up in a systematic manner. It was in this background that GoI has launched NRLM, to be implemented in a mission mode across the country. It builds on the core strengths of the SGSY and incorporates the important lessons from large scale experiences in the country.
