Educational Qualification: Retired Staff
Applications in the prescribed proforma (as per Annexure I to the advertisement) are invited from eligible ex-Section Officers of the Bureau of Indian Standards for engaging as Consultant in the Bureau of Indian Standards, New Delhi, for dealing with recruitment and related establishment matters, as per details given below:
1. Name of the Post: Consultant for Establishment Department
2. Nature of duties: Should be conversant in dealing with all the recruitment and related establishment matters
3. Qualification: Ex- BIS Section Officer having degree from a recognized university and experience of at least 10 years in the Establishment Department or HRD Department of BIS and dealing with recruitment & all the related establishment matters including formulation of recruitment rules, roster management, etc.
4. Period of Consultancy: Initially 06 (Six) Month The Bureau can terminate the contract immediately, by paying one month’s agreed remuneration in lieu of the notice period.
5. Job Location: Bureau of Indian Standards, Manak Bhawan, 9, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi Depending on the precise nature of duties assigned to the Consultant from time to time, he/she may be given office space within the premises of Bureau.
6. Remuneration: (Last Pay + DA drawn) - (Basic Pension+ Dearness Relief)

Selection Procedure
1. Bureau of Indian Standards will screen the applications, and shortlist candidates for interview. Shortlisted candidates will only be called for interview.
2. The date, time and venue for the interview will be conveyed in the Interview call letter or intimated to the candidates through the BIS website or given email of the candidate, or as the Bureau may decide. Therefore, the candidates should regularly visit the BIS website and their email ID for checking the intimation.
3. Candidates will have to make their own arrangements to reach the place of interview.
4. No TA/DA will be payable by the Bureau to attend the interview.
5. The final selection will be based on performance of the candidate in the interview
6. The decision of the Bureau on selection of candidates will be final.

The last date for receiving applications is 15 days from the release of this advertisement on BIS website. Applications received after the closing date or without the prescribed documents or otherwise found incomplete in any matter or not in the prescribed proforma, shall be liable to rejection and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
