Educational Qualification: B.Tech Degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engg./ Computer Science Engg or Information Technology with programming as an essential component of the degree or MCA from a recognized University (b) Post qualification 5 years experience in software development/database administration/project management with knowledge of hardware and networking in Govt Deptt/Public Sector Undertaking. Desirable Qualification: MCA with knowledge of Tally, Accounts, ABAS Module, drone survey techniques such as ORI and feature extraction.

Dalhousie Cantonment was established in the year 1867.The emergence of the Cantonment Board as a municipal body in Cantonments was basically in response to the need for maintenance of proper sanitation, health and hygiene in these areas. The scope of the Cantonment Board functions extends to the entire gamut of municipal administration. In addition to providing basic amenities, Cantonment Board, Dalhousie also manages general public welfare institutions and facilities to the residents of the Cantonment area. Total area of the Cantonment is 1017 acres. As per census of 2011 the total population of the Cantonment is 3549. Dalhousie Cantonment Board is categorized as Class III Cantonment. Under the Cantonments Act, 2006, the Cantonment Board has been entrusted with several crucial municipal functions such as street lighting, regulation of building activity, water supply, sanitation, health, providing primary education, general public safety and town planning. Apart from these regulatory functions, Cantonment Board also undertakes several additional measures under general public and constantly endeavors to achieve excellence and upgrade the quality of services being provided to the general public. Dalhousie Cantonment Board has travelled a long way in accepting the challenges posed by increasing pressure on civil amenities and is making constant efforts to improve the quality of life and provide the best quality of services.
