Central Bureau of lnvestigation, invites applications from the retired Law Officers for the purpose of engagement as Consultant on contract basis initially be for one year, which may be extended on the performance and suitability but not beyond 5 years after superannuation or till the age of attaining 65 years, whichever is earlier.

3. Education Qualification: Law Graduate from a recognized University

4. Eligibility towards clean Job record: The officer with clean track record and not having any RDfucriminal case/trial aqainst him will be eliqible to apply

5. Eligibility towards minimum rank held: Retired from tne rank of Sr Public Prosecutor or equivalent in the PB-3 Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- (Level 11 as per 7th CPC) and above are eligible to apply

6. Job Experience: 

Experience of minimum 10 years or more at Bar in conducting Criminal matters/litigation before the Courts. Knowledge of various Criminal Major Acts and also the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946/ PC Act, 1988 / the CVC Act, 2003 / the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013 etc.

7. Place of posting: CBI Head Quarters, Plot No. 5-B, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003.

8. Nature of Duties:

To give advice to the Department on Legal Issues To prepare various Petitions, Replies, Appeals etc. To vet drafts of Petitions/ Appeals / Replies etc. to be filed on behalf of CBI Any other misc. legal work assigned by the Department.

9. Period of engagement:

The initial engagement as Consultant would be for a period of 01 year, which may be extended beyond the said period depending upon the requirement of CBI and performance review of the consultants but shall not be extended beyond 5 years after superannuation. The engagement of Consultants would be on full-time basis and they would not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the pence of Consultancy with CBI.

10. Salary:

i. A fixed monthly amount shall be admissible, arrived at by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement.

ii. The amount of remuneration so fixed shall remain unchanged for the term of the contract.

iii. There will be no increment/percentage increase during the contract period.

iv. The basic pension to be deducted from the last pay drawn shall be the pension as fixed at the time of retirement and as such, if the employee has availed of the commuted value of pension, the commuted portion of pension shall also be included in the portion of pension to be deducted.

v. No increment and Dearness Allowance shall be allowed during the term of the contract. No honorarium shall be allowed for any purpose.
