Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Principal Research Officer

• Essential Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Engineering / Economics / Public Policy/ MBA(Finance/ Infrastructure/ Power Management)/ Regulatory Governance
• Experience: Post qualification minimum ten years of working experience in the Power sector, preferably in regulatory affairs and/or generation/ transmission/ distribution sectors.
• Salary: Rs. 1,10,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000 per month

Eligibility for Research Officer

• Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in Engineering/ Economics /Public Policy/ MBA(Finance/ Infrastructure/ Power Management)/ Regulatory Governance
• Desirable Qualification: Master's / Post Graduate degree in Engineering/ Economics / Public Policy
• Experience: Post qualification minimum four years of working experience in the Power sector, preferably in regulatory affairs and/or generation/ transmission/ distribution sectors.
• Salary: Rs. 64,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- per month

Eligibility for Research Associate

• Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in Engineering/ Economics /Public Policy/ MBA(Finance/ Infrastructure/ Power Management)/ Regulatory Governance
• Experience: Zero to three years' experience in Power Sector/Regulatory work
• Salary: Rs. 45,000/- to Rs. 80,000/- per month

Age Limit

The age of the applicant as on 01st January 2026 would be in accordance with CERC (Appointment of Consultants) Regulations, 2010 and amendments thereafter.

Selection Process

• The selection process involves interaction and potentially a written examination.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written examination including report writing and presentation.
• Final selection is based on the ranking/merit of the combined score of qualification, experience, written examination, and interaction.
• Original documents (qualifications, experience, salary slips for past 6 months) are required at the time of interaction.
