Educational Qualification: Master Degree in Botany or Zoology or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Physical Anthropology or Genetics or Forensic Science with Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects or papers during all the three years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University; or B.E. or B.Tech in Biotechnology from recognized University.

About Central Forensic Science Laboratory
The Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Hyderabad or popularly known as CFSL, Hyderabad, was established in the Year 1967 and is one of the six Central Forensic Science Laboratories in India. CFSL, Hyderabad is situated at Ramanthapur, which is about 10 kms from the heart of the City. The Laboratory is presently working under the administrative control of Directorate of Forensic Science Services, WS Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.
The Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) is a wing of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, which fulfills the forensic requirements in India.
There are four central forensic laboratories in the country, at Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh and New Delhi. CFSL Hyderabad is centre of excellence in chemical sciences, CFSL Kolkata in biological sciences and CFSL Chandigarh in physical sciences. These laboratories are under the control of the Directorate of Forensic Science Services(DFSS). The laboratory in New Delhi is under the control of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and investigates cases on behalf of CBI.
