The Director, ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore invites applications for walk-in-interview to be held in offline mode only for engagement of One (1) Research Associate (RA) purely on contractual basis under XIIth plan Scheme “National Innovation Fund (NAIF) Component I” at ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore as per details given below :

1. Post Name : Research Associate (RA)

2. No. of position : One (01) Research Associate

3. Tenure : 31st March, 2023 OR co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier

4. Essential qualification : Ph. D. in Fisheries/ Agriculture Economics/ Extension/ Zoology Or, M.F.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture Economics/ Extension/ M.V.Sc. with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least 3 years of Research Experience in the relevant field.

5. Desirable qualification/ Experience : Knowledge of computer application, IPR issues, legal aspects, patent process, copyright matters, prior art search.

6. Remuneration : Rs. 49,000/- + HRA per month for Master Degree Holders and Rs. 54,000/- + HRA per month for Doctoral Degree holders admissible as per ICAR rules.

Selection Procedure

1. The selected candidate will be stationed at Barrackpore or at project sites as required from time to time and will have to conduct extensive field work involving frequent travel, laboratory works and survey of different sites for sample collection.

2. Selected Candidate (s) will be required to produce all original documents at the time of Joining.

3. The selected candidates shall have no right/claim for regular appointment at ICARCIFRI at any point of time.
