Eligibility Criteria & Salary

Eligibility for Project Associate-I

• Essential: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognised University or equivalent.
• Salary: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (for candidates qualified in CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET/GATE); Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (for others).

Eligibility for Project Associate-II

• Essential: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognised University or equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years relevant experience in Research and Development in Industrial/ Academic/ Research Institutions.
• Salary: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA (for scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests); Rs. 28,000/- + HRA (for others).

Eligibility for Senior Project Associate

• Essential: Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences from a recognised University or equivalent OR M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology with 3 years research experience.
• Salary: Rs. 42,000/- + HRA.

Common Requirements

• Desirable: Working experience in yeast biology/ engineering (for all positions).
• Age Limit (as on 02/02/2026): Max 35 years (Project Associate-I/II), Max 40 years (Senior Project Associate). Age relaxation applicable as per Govt rules.
