Central University of Jammu Invites Application for Research Associate Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment on a purely time bound basis for DRDO sponsored research project under Kalam Centre of Science and Technology (KCST), Central University of Jammu to be undertaken in the Department of Physics and Astronomical Sciences.

1. Name of the Temporary Post: Research Associate (RA)

2. Number of Post: One (01)

3. Name of the Research Project: High-Temperature Thermal Sensing Using Nanophosphors

4. Name of the Sponsoring Agency: Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), New Delhi

5. Tenure of the Project: 03 Years

6. Tenure of the Assignment: 02 Years (one year in the beginning and may be extended up to one more year based on the performance)

7. Job Description: To carry out the research work in the field of phosphor thermometry.

8. Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship: Rs. 54000 (fixed)

9. Essential Qualifications and experience :

i. Ph. D in Physics/Material Science/Allied Areas. Candidates who have defended their Ph.D. thesis can also apply. or M.Sc./M.Tech. (Physics/ Material Science) with minimum three years research experience

ii. The candidate should have good academic record and research experience as evidenced from published papers in SCI Journals.

10. Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences: Experience in the field of phosphors, sensors, device fabrications.
