Educational Qualification:
Executive Engineer:
i) First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute/ University or equivalent.
ii) Eight years of experience as Assistant Engineer in the relevant field from CPWD/State Government PWD services or similar organized services/Semi-Government/ PSU/ Statutory or Autonomous organization/ University System or reputed private organizations with an annual turnover of at least Rs.200/- Crores or more.
Medical Officer: Post Graduate in Medicine from a recognized Institution by the Medical Council of India OR MBBS recognized by the Medical Council of India with relevant working experience of two years in a Government Hospital or Hospital recognized by the Government or corporate hospital.

The President of India gave assent to The Central Universities Act, 2009 that envisages establishing and incorporating universities for teaching and research in the various states.
The Central University of Jharkhand came into being under this Act on 1st of March, 2009. The Visitor of the Central University of Jharkhand, Her Excellency, Shrimati Pratibha Devisingh Patil, appointed Dr. Darlando T. Khathing, an internationally renowned scientist and a distinguished academic administrator, as its first Vice Chancellor.
