Advertisement for the position of Research Assistant in ICMR funded project under Dr. Latchoumycandane Calivarathan at the Department of Life Sciences
i. Highly motivated and eligible candidates are encouraged to appear for an online interview to work as a Research Assistant in ICMR funded research project entitled “Oxidatively truncated phospholipids molecularly couple renal inflammation to intrinsic apoptosis in alcoholic renal injury’’ at the Department of Life Sciences, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur.

2. Essential Qualifications:
M.Sc. or Integrated M.Sc., in Life Sciences/ Animal Sciences/ Zoology/ Biomedical Science/ Biochemistry / Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology or equivalent with 55% marks with consistently good academic records. A candidate who has qualified for national exams such as NET, GATE, etc., will be preferred.
3. Desirable Qualifications: Small animal handling experience
4. Project Duration: Initial appointment will be for one year and extended further based on the performance (maximum two years).
5. Emoluments: Rs.31,000/- pm (consolidated)

Selection Procedure
Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email along with the meeting details such as the date and time of the interview, online interview code, etc. The selected candidate will be encouraged to register for Ph.D. if his/ her performance of research work is satisfactory.
