Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Research Associate (School of Biological Sciences)

• Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in any branch of Biology with Biological Sciences/Life Sciences/Molecular Biology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Applied Biology specialization. Must have awarded Ph.D. degree or submitted thesis to a reputed university/organization. At least two publications in peer-reviewed research journals from Ph.D. research (at least one as first author).
• Desirable Experience: Good knowledge of modern biology and research experience in handling microbes and recombinant DNA techniques.

Eligibility for Research Associate (School of Chemical Sciences - Area 1)

• Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry. Must have awarded Ph.D. degree or submitted thesis to a reputed university/organization. At least two publications in peer-reviewed research journals from Ph.D. research (at least one as first author).
• Desirable Experience: Hands-on experience of ultrafast (femtosecond) spectroscopic techniques, time correlated single photon counter, etc., and analysis of related data.

Eligibility for Research Associate (School of Chemical Sciences - Area 2)

• Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry. Must have awarded Ph.D. degree or submitted thesis to a reputed university/organization. At least two publications in peer-reviewed research journals from Ph.D. research (at least one as first author).
• Desirable Experience: Hands-on experience in synthesis and characterization. Study of synthesized organic/inorganics in material/biological applications.

Eligibility for Research Associate (School of Physical Sciences - Area 1)

• Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics (experimental magnetism). Must have awarded Ph.D. degree or submitted thesis to a reputed university/organization. At least two publications in peer-reviewed research journals from Ph.D. research (at least one as first author).

Eligibility for Research Associate (School of Physical Sciences - Area 2)

• Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics (experimental condensed matter/Materials Science/Device Physics). Must have awarded Ph.D. degree or submitted thesis to a reputed university/organization. At least two publications in peer-reviewed research journals from Ph.D. research (at least one as first author).

General Requirements (Age & Experience)

• Age Limit: Not above 32 years for RA I and 35 years for RA II as on 31st December 2025.
• Experience: Candidates who have submitted their thesis (PDF) and are yet to receive their degree, if selected, will be paid emoluments equivalent to a senior research fellow.
