Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (CMET) Invites Application for 17 Technical Consultant / Research Scientist Recruitment 2022

C-MET invites online applications for Technical Consultants /Research Scientists on purely temporary & contractual basis for a period of 3 years for Pune, Hyderabad and Thrissur Labs. The appointment may be extended/curtailed depending upon the status/duration of the project. However, the appointment will be initially for one year & extendable on the basis of annual performance review

3. Monthly emoluments (Consolidated Salary) : Rs. 90,000/- (Rupees Ninety Thousand) only per month.

4. Qualification : M.E. / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Physics / Chemistry / Material Sciences / Chemical Engineering / Ceramics /Nano materials/Material Sciences Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Metallurgy from a recognized University/ Research Institution.

5. Experience: M.E./ M.Tech with minimum three-years / Ph.D. with minimum one-year postqualification experience in the relevant field in R & D Laboratory / Universities in India / Abroad

6. Desirable qualifications with one or more of the following: 

a) Novel Energy generation ( fuel cell, solar cell, thermoelectric)/ storage materials (battery, super capacitors, hydrogen)/devices / their related modelling & simulation

b)  Additive manufacturing: 3 D printing materials especially ceramics/metal/alloys and design of 3 printers with simulation including LTCC based materials and devices.

c) Nanostructured materials, nanocomposites including 2D materials and devices. Glasses/ photonics materials and devices

d) Electro ceramic materials and devices including sensors and IOT, magnetic material meta-materials, Power Electronics & Control, Electronic circuit & system design and fabrication.

e) Semiconductor single crystal growth, characterization & processing.

f) Knowledge of Chemical and Physical Syntheses Process, Extractive Metallurgy of Refractory Metals, Magnetic Materials, rare earth, Coating Processes for functional applications, High entropy alloys and compounds with Simulation and Modelling,

g) Novel and economical Techniques in e-waste recycling / Plant design and scaling up operations, HAZOP studies.

h) Knowledge in purification of electronic materials through vacuum distillation/zone refining processes and their characterization.

Selection Procedure
