Estate Manager

CMI is actively looking for an “Estate Manager'' (EM) who will be responsible for overall maintenance of on-campus utilities, auxiliary equipment, firefighting systems, electrical installations etc. A detailed job description now follows. A brief description of electrical equipment is given at the end.

1. Post Name: Estate Manager

2. Duties and responsibilities

a. Be the first point of escalation for all maintenance related emergencies Prioritize daily facility issues and effectively delegate responsibilities Daily oversight of facilities and the equipment

b. Oversee maintenance-related procurement requests Conduct periodic meetings with the stakeholders to resolve any Maintenance-related issues Ensuring Fire & Life Safety

c. Work in coordination with the CMI infrastructure committee in the matters of procuring quotations and finalizing them. When a third party vendor is doing repair/ maintenance work on campus, periodically supervise their work, make them fill a timesheet and sign off before the final payment.

3. Experience and Requirements:

a. Degree / diploma preferably in civil or electrical engineering. 2 - 6 years’ experience managing multiple buildings with base building infrastructure. Total area handled should be at least 1 lac sq ft. Experience in risk assessment and incident management

b. Liaising with local government authorities Experience/Knowledge of Statutory Compliance, Building Codes, Statutory Permissions etc. Experience in managing building critical infrastructure Experience in managing operational budget and cost control Quotation procurement and vendor management

4. Compensation: Competitive with industry standards.

5. There will be a 1 year probation period. This is a contractual position which will be renewed every 3 years after a review excluding the probation period.
