Educational Qualification: M.Sc

1. Position: Lecturer (NM) Gr. III for the Nuclear Medicine

2. Qualification: M.Sc in Medical Physics (AERB recognized) or M.Sc Physics with Dip. Radiological Physics (BARC) and eLORA Radiation Professional registration number with RSO III Certification.

3. Salary: As per institutional Rule

4. Job Description:

(i) Instrumentation: Ensuring the correct operation of all equipment used in nuclear medicine facilities from the dose calibrators to the accurate calibration of the imaging scanners, and on to the software programs that are used to extract information from the images to provide the clinical results.

(ii) Computation: To be able to use one or more programming languages to develop new analytical techniques on the specialized workstations provided with the imaging equipment.

(iii) Radiation safety: Overseeing all aspects of radiation protection pertaining to Nuclear Medicine. Liasing with Regulatory body i.e AERB on a regular basis.

(iv) Teaching and Research involvement: To be involved in research programs and teaching of Nuclear Medicine Physics to a broad range of students from MD residents to nurses on the hospital ward concerned about the radioactive patient, to the radiographers and technologists involved in performing nuclear Medicine studies and therapy.
