Applications are hereby invited from eligible candidates through online/offline mode for hiring of technical manpower [Senior Research Fellow: 01 Position] on purely contract basis for engagement in research and extension activity for the project entitled “Assessing Post-Harvest Quality and Grading of AgriProduces for Efficient Management of Storage and Post-Harvest Operations” under Network Programme on Precision Agriculture (NePPA) funded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.

i. The appointment will be purely temporary under contractual and co-terminus basis, following the prescribed procedure for six months or till the completion date of the project.

ii. The appointments may be terminated at any time without notice or assigning any reason thereof.

iii. The candidates possessing required qualifications given below may appear before selection committee in the Seminar Room, AS&EC Division, ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET), PO: PAU, Ludhiana141004 (Punjab) or via Zoom Link (shared via email to the screened candidates before date of interview).

3. Title of the Project: Assessing Post-Harvest Quality and Grading of Agri-Produces for Efficient Management of Storage and Post-Harvest Operations

4. Date of Project Completion: August, 2026 (likely date of completion)

5. Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA per month consolidated for 1st year and 2nd year and, Rs. 35,000/- + HRA per month consolidated for 3rd year onwards – as per rule

6. Educational Qualifications:

i. Master degree in Agricultural Structures and Process Engineering/ Agricultural Process Engineering/ Post– Harvest Engineering & Technology / Food Process Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/Dairy Engineering/ Food Engineering/ Dairy and Food Engineering/ Electrical Engineering, and Electrical and

ii. Electronic Engineering Computer Application /Information Technology /Computer Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Operating Systems /Software Engineering /Computer Graphics with 4 years/ 5 years bachelor’s degree

7. Desirable: Experience related to application of automation and sensor technology in food process engineering, and published research papers in relevant field
