Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (CISH) was initially established as Central Mango Research Station on 4th September, 1972. On 1st June, 1984, it was upgraded to the level of a full-fledged Institute and named as Central Institute of Horticulture. It was renamed as Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (CISH) on 14th June, 1995 for conducting research work on various aspects of subtropical fruits like mango, guava, papaya, litchi, Aonla, bael and jamun. It is located at Rehmankhera. The institute has scientific nursery facilities, well established orchards & fully equipped laboratories. Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture offers great career opportunities for several positions such as Young Professional, Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Scouts, Project Assistant, Office Assistant, Computer Operator, Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Skilled Assistant, Research Associate, Data Entry Operator, Assistant Administrative Officer. Interested candidates can pursue courses in Graduate in Agriculture Science or Diploma Holders in Engineering / Technology or Post Graduate in Agriculture Science, M.Sc (Agriculture) in Entomology/Plant Pathology or M.Sc. in Botany (specialization in Plant Pathology) or Zoology (specialization in Entomology), Post graduate in Microbiology / Biochemistry Biotechnology, Post graduate in life science / IT, M.Sc.
