1. Positions: Junior Research Fellow

2. No. of Position: 01

3. Essential qualification: Essential Qualification: MSc/M Tech in Earth Sciences/Geology/Geophysics/Remote Sensing or related fields with –

(a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test –CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE

(b) The selection Process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institution such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER etc.

4. Desirable Qualification: Appropriate work/research experience demonstrated by dissertation/reports/publications.

5. Stipend/Emoluments: Rs.31000/- + HRA (@16%) = Rs 35,960/-

6. Tenure/ Project Duration (Tentative): 1 Year (initially) (Extendable up to 3 years depending upon performance of candidate; 2 years JRF + 1 year SRF) / or project duration, whichever is earlier.

7. Name of the Scheme/Project: Ministry of Earth Sciences, GoI, New Delhi. Surface Topography and kinematics of active faulting inthe SubHimalaya close to Chandigarh: Implications to infrastructure development and seismic hazardfor a proposed smart city.
