Educational Qualification:
Deputy Manager (Mechanical): Full-time bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engg./ Production & Industrial Engg./ Thermal/ Mechanical & Automation/ Power Engineering from AICTE/appropriate statutory authority approved University/Institution with not less than 65% marks [General/OBC(NCL)/EWS] & 60% marks (SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate of all years/semesters as per conversion formulae of the concerned University/Institution.
Manager (Civil): Full-time bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in Civil Engineering from AICTE/appropriate statutory approved University/Institution with not less than 65% marks [General/OBC(NCL)/EWS] & 60% marks (SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate of all years/semesters as per conversion formula of the concerned University/Institution.
Manager (Electrical): Full-time bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical, Instrumentation& Control /Power Systems & High Voltage/ Power Electronics/ Power Engineering from AICTE/appropriate statutory approved University/Institution with not less than 65% marks [General/OBC(NCL)/EWS] & 60% marks (SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate of all years/semesters as per conversion formula of the concerned University/Institution.
Deputy Manager (C&I): Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Instrumentation & Control / Instrumentation / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation /Electronics & Instrumentation from AICTE/appropriate statutory approved University/Institution with not less than 65% Marks [General/OBC(NCL)/EWS] & 60% Marks (SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate of all years/semesters as per conversion formulae of the concerned University/Institution.
Deputy Manager (Safety): Full-time B.E/B.Tech Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Civil/Electronics/Control & Instrumentation/ Instrumentation from AICTE/appropriate statutory approved University/Institution with not less than 65% marks [General/OBC(NCL)/EWS] & 60% marks (SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate of all years/semesters as per conversion formula of the concerned University/Institution and Degree or diploma or certificate in industrial safety from Reginal Labour Institute/ Central Labour Institute/ State Labour Institute (West Bengal & Jharkhand only).
Deputy Manager (Environment Management): Full time Graduate Engineering degree in Environment Management(4 Years course) or Graduate with full time PG Degree/ PG Diploma / M.Sc / M. Tech in Environment Engineering /Environment Science/ Environmental System Management from AICTE/ appropriate statutory authority approved University/ Institution with not less than 65% marks [General/OBC(NCL)/EWS] & 60% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) in aggregate of all years/ semesters as per conversion formulae of the concerned University/ Institution.
Pay Scale:
INR
15600-39100/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 35 Years.
Selection Procedure: Psychometric test followed by Personal Interview and in case of receipt of large number of applications for any particular post, Management reserves the right to conduct screening test/ written test /trade test / skill test etc as deemed fit.
Application Fee: Candidates belonging to General/OBC(NCL) categories are required to pay a Non-refundable Application Fee of Rs 300/-(Rupees Three Hundred Only) through Online mode only. The bank charges as applicable have to be borne by the candidates.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-SM categories & DVC Departmental Candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.

About Damodar Valley Corporation Limited
The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is a government organization which operates several power stations in the Damodar River area of West Bengal and Jharkhand. The corporation operates both thermal power stations and hydel power stations. DVC is headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal.
DVC emerged as a culmination of attempts made over a whole century to control the wild and erratic Damodar River. The valley has been ravaged frequently by floods at varying intensities. Serious floods occurred. As a result, the Government of Bengal appointed a board of Enquiry titled "Damodar Flood Enquiry Committee for suggesting remedial measures.
The Damodar Flood Enquiry Committee suggested the construction of dams and storage reservoirs at the sites and highlighted the possibilities of multipurpose development in the valley area. By April 1947, full agreement was practically reached between the three Governments of Central, West Bengal and Bihar on the implementation of the scheme and in March 1948, the Damodar Valley Corporation Act was passed by the Central Legislature, requiring the three Governments, The Central Government and the State Governments of West Bengal and Bihar (now Jharkhand) to participate jointly for the purpose of building the Damodar Valley Corporation. The Corporation came into existence on 7 July 1948 as the first multipurpose river valley project of independent India.
