Sub: Vacancy notice for the post of Jr. Manager/Assistant Manager/Manager (Rolling Stock) at Ajmer on a deputation basis.
1. Post Name: Junior Manager/ Assistant Manager/ Manager

3. Duration : 3 years extendable up to 5 years (subject to exemption by DPE from the rule of immediate absorption)
4. Service: Officers/Supervisors of Mechanical Deptt. of Indian Railway, Officers of Central Govt/CPSU etc. (as mentioned above)
5. Scale of Pay: Parent pay plus deputation allowance (And all other perks and Allowances applicable as per DFCCTL policy)
6. Eligibility :
a) Manager-Group B officers of Central/State Govt. with at least 4 years of service in Group B (Gazetted) in relevant discipline or PSU employees working in analogous grade in relevant discipline or in Rs. 60000-180000 (IDA) (E3) with four years' service in that grade.
b) Assistant Manager-Group B officers of Central/State Govt. in the relevant discipline or PSU employees working in analogous grade in relevant discipline or in Rs. 50000-160000 (IDA) (E2) with four years' service in that grade.
c) Junior Manager: Central/State Government employees working in analogous grade (Level-8) in relevant discipline or holding substantive posts in Level-7 or PSU employees working in analogous grade in relevant discipline OR working in Rs. 40000-140000 (IDA) (El) with four years' service in that grade.
7. Job Description :
a) Close monitoring round the clock of freight train operation on Corridor.
b) Coordination with field APM/Rolling Stock for attending troubleshooting related to rolling stock.
c) Coordination with IR and DFCCIL Rolling Stock official for the prompt attention to defective wagons detached en-route.
d) Monitoring progress of installation, maintenance and operation of way side equipment.
e) Handling tenders & managing Contracts under jurisdiction.
f) Close coordination with OMRS control in OCC for immediate checking of wagon on getting alert. Maintaining and reporting data related to unusuals of rolling stock over Corridor.

The Indian Railways' quadrilateral linking the four metropolitan cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Howrah, commonly known as the Golden Quadrilateral ; and its two diagonals (Delhi-Chennai and Mumbai-Howrah), adding up to a total route length of 10,122 km comprising of 16% of the route carried more than 52% of the passenger traffic and 58% of revenue earning freight traffic of IR.
