Recruitment Overview

Research & Development Establishment (Engineers) (R&DE (E)), Pune, a premier laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), invites meritorious Indian Nationals for the award of Research Fellowships. This is a direct recruitment opportunity via Walk-in Interview for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

This recruitment is conducted through a direct interview process and does not involve a written competitive examination. Candidates with B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc degrees and valid GATE/NET scores are encouraged to participate.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Option A: Graduate degree in professional course (B.E./B.Tech) in First Division with valid NET/GATE score.
• Option B: Post Graduate degree in Professional Course (M.E./M.Tech) in First Division at both Graduate and Post-graduate levels.
• Option C: Post-graduation degree in M.Sc. in First Division with NET qualification.

Age Limit & Relaxation

• Maximum Age: 28 Years.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years relaxation.
  • OBC: 3 years relaxation.
• Crucial Date: Age is calculated as of the Interview Date (Last date of interview).

Mandatory Requirements

• Candidates must bring all original certificates/testimonials along with a set of self-attested copies.
• Government/PSU employees must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview.
• Security Check: Candidates must adhere to the reporting time (0900-0930 Hrs) for security clearance.
• Electronic Items: Mobile phones, pen drives, laptops, and CDs are strictly prohibited inside the campus.

Selection Procedure

This is a Direct Recruitment based on a Walk-in Interview. There is no written examination (Prelims/Mains).

1. Document Verification: Verification of original certificates at the venue.
2. Walk-in Interview: Technical/Personal interview by the selection committee.
3. Note: The interview may continue on 17 February 2026 if the number of candidates is high.
