The posts are to be filled on Deputation (ISTC) basis initially for a period of one year or until regular appointment.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Eligible Services

Officers from the following services are eligible to apply:

  • Central Government / State Government / Union Territory Administrations.
  • Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
  • Universities / Recognized Research Institutions.
  • Semi-government or Autonomous Bodies / Statutory Organizations.
  • Armed Forces Personnel: Personnel holding the rank of Naib-Subedar or equivalent (retiring/transfer to reserve within 1 year) with 12th pass qualification.

2. Educational Qualification & Experience

Chief Security Officer (CSO)
  • Qualification: Degree from a recognized university/institute.
  • Experience: 3 years experience as a Security Officer or supervising security functions in Govt./PSU/Autonomous bodies.
  • Desirable: Training in Fire Fighting (National Fire Service College, Nagpur) & Security functions.
Deputy Chief Security Officer (Dy. CSO)
  • Qualification: Degree from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Experience: 2 years experience in matters relating to Security.
  • Mandatory Training: 6 months training in Fire Fighting from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or Defence Fire Service Institution.
Security Officer
  • Qualification: 12th Pass from a recognized board/University.
  • Experience: Relevant experience (as per deputation rules).

3. Age Limit & Service Requirements

  • Age Limit: Maximum 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications (28/02/2026).
  • Service Eligibility (CSO):
    • Holding analogous post on regular basis OR
    • With 5 years regular service in Level-10 (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500) or equivalent.
  • Service Eligibility (Dy. CSO):
    • Holding analogous post on regular basis OR
    • With 5 years service in PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800) with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- or equivalent.
  • Deputation Period: Shall ordinarily not exceed 4 years.

Selection Process

This is a Deputation-based Recruitment. The selection will be done by the competent authority based on the following:

  1. Scrutiny of Applications: Verification of eligibility, qualifications, and experience.
  2. Service Records: Assessment of ACRs (Annual Confidential Reports) for the preceding 5 years.
  3. Vigilance Status: Clearance certificate and integrity certificate are mandatory.
  4. No Written Exam: There is no Prelims, Mains, or CBT for this recruitment.

The Delhi Jal Board was constituted on 6th April, 1998 through an Act of the Delhi Legislative Assembly incorporating the previous Delhi Water Supply and Sewage Disposal Undertaking. The Delhi Jal Board is responsible for the Production and Distribution of potable water after treating raw water from various sources like river Yamuna, Bhakhra Storage, Upper Ganga Canal & Groundwater and also provides treatment and disposal of waste water. The Delhi Jal Board provides water in bulk to the NDMC and Cantonment areas. Sewage from these areas is also collected for treatment and disposal by the Delhi Jal Board.
