Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Ltd. has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Chief Engineer (Track) on an Absorption Basis. This is a significant opportunity for experienced IRSE officers and professionals in the government sector to join the lifeline of Delhi. The corporation is looking for candidates with extensive experience in track construction and maintenance.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Chief Engineer/Track

• Essential Qualification: B. Tech (Civil) or equivalent with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university/institute.
• Experience:
  • Candidates must have at least 10 years’ experience of Construction/Maintenance of Track in the Indian Railways/Metro.
  • Candidates should be conversant with functioning in a computerized environment.
  • Candidates should be free from D&AR and Vigilance angle.
• Desirable: Hands-on knowledge of various computer applications relating to the job.

Category A: Candidates working in Railways/Govt. Organizations in CDA Pay Scales

• Must be IRSE/HAG Officers working in Level 15 (Rs. 1,82,200 – 2,24,100) in any Govt. Organization or Railways.
• Minimum 02 years of service in the aforementioned grade.
• Total of 25 years of service at the Gazetted/Executive level in Govt./PSUs.

Category B: Candidates working in Govt. Organizations/PSUs/Metros in IDA Pay Scales

• Must be IRSE/HAG Officers working in the IDA pay scale of Rs. 1,50,000 – 3,00,000/- in any Govt. Organization, PSU, or Metro.
• Minimum 02 years of service in the aforementioned grade.
• Total of 25 years of service at the Gazetted/Executive level in Govt./PSUs.

Salary & Emoluments

The pay and emoluments shall be as per the pay scale under the IDA (Industrial DA) as applicable from time to time. Other benefits include Perks, Lease/HRA, Medical benefits, EPF, Gratuity, and Insurance, as per the extant rules of the Corporation.

• Last Date for Receipt of Application: 19/01/2026
• Shortlisted Candidates List Release: Fifth week of January 2026 (Tentatively)
• Interview Date: First week of February 2026
• Final Result Declaration: Second week of February 2026 (Tentatively)

Selection Process

The selection methodology comprises:

1. Personal Interview
2. Medical Fitness Examination (Executive/Technical category)

Candidates must qualify in both stages. Failure in the medical test will result in disqualification.
