Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Engineering & Technology Disciplines (CSE, IT, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, ECE, Chemical, Automobile, Production, Software, Biotechnology, Environmental, Geospatial): Candidates must possess the prescribed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the relevant branch/specialization as per the discipline-specific DTU Recruitment Rules. Ph.D. degree carries weightage in the 100-point screening criteria. Qualifying scores in GATE/NET may be required as per specific rules.
- Applied Sciences Disciplines (Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Mathematics & Computing): Candidates must meet the qualifications and academic conditions specified in the respective DTU Recruitment Rules. UGC-related relaxation provisions may apply for certain disciplines.
- Management (DSM), Humanities (Economics, English), Economics (USME), Design: Candidates must satisfy the qualifications, specializations, and experience requirements detailed in the discipline-specific recruitment rules.
- General Conditions: Educational qualifications, experience, and other eligibility conditions will be assessed as on the closing date (7 December 2026). Guest faculty experience is not counted for teaching/industrial experience scoring. Separate applications and fees required for each discipline.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Initial Academic Screening (100 Points): Based on Ph.D. (30 pts), Prescribed Pre-Ph.D. Degree (60 pts max, formula: 35 + 0.5 × (X − 50) where X is percentage), and Relevant Qualifying Test/Scholarship (10 pts).
- Consideration Zone List: Provisional list published based on screening scores.
- Document & Point Mark Verification: Candidates in consideration zone submit hard copies with self-attested documents for scrutiny.
- Academic & Research Points (50 Points): Separate framework assessing Academic Record (20 pts) and Experience & Research Performance (30 pts).
- Teaching Aptitude & Ability Presentation: Shortlisted candidates deliver a teaching presentation.
- Domain Knowledge Assessment & Interview: Final interview evaluating domain knowledge, research aptitude, and overall suitability.
Note: No separate written examination is prescribed. No TA/DA will be paid for attending document verification, presentation, or interview. Geospatial Science and Geospatial Technology posts carry specific regularization conditions pending creation, approval, and sanction of posts.
