Applications are invited by the Department of Social Defence from the eligible candidates who possesses the following qualifications for appointment of two Social worker Members Juvenile Justice Boards constituted under the provisions of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Social worker Member for Juvenile Justice Board is to be appointed on honorarium basis of which one shall be a woman.

1. Post Name: Social worker Members

2. No of Posts: two

3. The applicants should have been actively involved in health, education or welfare activities pertaining to children for atleast seven years or a practicing professional with a degree in child psychology or psychiatry, sociology or law.

4. The age of the applicant should not be less than 35 years and not completed 65 years. A person shall be eligible for appointment as Social Worker Member for a maximum of two terms, which shall not be continuous.

The application format and eligibility criteria may be obtained from the District Child Protection Unit, Madurai District or downloaded from madurai.nic.in and filled in 2 set of applications should be sent to Department of Social Defence "The District Child Protection Officer, District Child Protection Unit, Distriet Collectorate, New Building 3r floor, Madurai- 625020 on or before (15 days) from the date of press release.

2. The filled in applications should reach this office within stipulated date. The appointment will be purely based on merit and experience. The decision of the Government will be final in this regard.
