1. Only the eligible candidates fulfilling the criteria as per the Recruitment Rules/advertisement shall apply and the candidates need not furnish any document at the time of applying for the post.
2. However, the candidates shall not be considered, if he/ she is found ineligible at the time of verification of the essential documents, even though he/ she has passed the Written Examination/ Final Selection Test or Skill/ Typing Test in case of the post of Lower Division Clerk.
3. If two or more candidates secure equal marks in the Written Examination then order of merit shall be as per their date of birth and if in case the date of birth is also same, then the candidate possessing higher educational qualifications will be placed higher in the merit list.
1. Interested and eligible candidates should fill the prescribed Application Form along with Declaration through online mode only available on the portal https://cbes.goa.gov.in from 04/ 12/2021 to 18/12/2021.
2. No application will be accepted/considered after the last date of application. No application shall be accepted in any other mode.
3. The instructions/ guidelines regarding eligibility, syllabus etc. which are uploaded on the Departmental website www.goatransport.gov.in, https:/( cbes.goa.gov.in and www.goa.gov.in shall strictly be adhered to by each and every candidate.
4. The same will be made available from 04/ 12/2021 onwards.
5. In respect of the candidates in PwD category, the guidelines issued and as amended from time to time by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Panaji will be followed.
6. The Government reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any time without any further notice and without assigning any reason thereof.

The state Transport department was constituted under the provisions of Section 133 A of the Motor Vehicles' Act, 1939. The department acts as the apex regulatory body that controls the entire gamut of activities that go into the operation of passenger & goods transport motor vehicles - both private & commercial. Through these regulatory activities, the Department of Transport is one of the major revenue earners for the state exchequer.
Goa has a total of 224 km of National highway, 232 km of state highway, and 815 km of district highway.
Goa has two National Highways passing through it. NH-17 runs along India's west coast and links Goa to Bombay in the north and Mangalore to the south. NH-4A running across the state connects the capital Panjim to Belgaum in the east, linking Goa to cities in the Deccan. The NH-17A connects NH-17 to Mormugao Harbour from Cortalim, and the new NH-17B, a four-lane highway connecting Mormugao Harbour to NH-17 at another location, Verna, via Dabolim airport
