Directorate of Floricultural Research (DFR) Invites Application for Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2022

ICAR-Directorate of Floricultural Research (DFR), Pune is an Institute under Indian Council of Agricultural Research to promote and strengthen floricultural research and enhance the technological base of floriculture in India. The Director, ICAR-DFR, Pune intends to engage Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in SERB DST funded project purely on contractual basis in time bound scheme. The details of the available positions are given below:

1. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

2. Number of Posts: 01

3. Name of the Project: "Development of early and grower friendly diagnostic tools for viral and phytoplasmal diseases in vegetatively propagated marigold to ensure quality and quarantine"

4. Minimum Educational Qualifications Experience: Masters degree in Plant Pathology/ Microbiology with specialization in Plant virology / bacteriological techniques and molecular biology and biotechnology, with valid NET (Life Sciences), ICAR-JRF/NET, GATE (Life Sciences)/ CSIRJRF/ DBT-JRF/ any other equivalent national level eligibility test qualified.

5. Experience: 1. Gene amplification, PCR, Sequence processing 2. SDS-PAGE, Westem blotting, ELISA and protein activity assays 3. Plant tissue culture

6. Preference: Candidates having experience in handling phytoplasma and anatomical and biochemical analysis of plants and plant tissue culture will be preferred.

7. Tenure of the appointment: For a period of 2 months 14 days or the termination of the project whichever is earlier

8. Consolidated emoluments: Rs. 31000/-+HRA as perrule
