Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)

1. Educational Qualification

• Essential: Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.
• Registration: Must have a valid registration with the Mahashtra Medical Council or the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• Preferred: Additional qualifications such as MD/MS/DM/MCH/DNB/CPS are preferred but not mandatory.

2. Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 70 Years as of 23-02-2026.
• Note: Age is calculated as per the NMC Gazette dated 30.05.2025.

Selection Process

Since this is a Direct Recruitment (Merit-Based), there is no written exam. The selection process involves:

1. Merit List Preparation: Based on marks obtained in the MBBS degree examination (converted to percentage).
2. Tie-Breaking Criteria: If two candidates have the same marks, preference is given in this order:
   • Higher marks in 1st, 2nd & 3rd MBBS exams.
   • Candidate from the older admission batch.
   • Older candidate (by Date of Birth).
   • Candidates with PG qualification in the concerned subject.
3. Online Preference Filling: Candidates must fill in their preference for institutions/colleges online between 25/02/2026 to 27/02/2026.
4. Seat Allotment: Final allotment based on merit and preference. Allotment letters will be sent via email.
5. Joining: Selected candidates must join within 7 days of allotment.
