Kurukshetra Sessions Division was carved out of Karnal Sessions Division in the year 1983. Shri R.K.Nehru was posted as first District and Sessions Judge on 15th June 1983. Now, Kurukshetra Sessions Division consists of two Sub Divisions i.e. Pehowa and Shahabad.
