Eligibility for District Microbiologist IDSP-CD

  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology / M.Sc. in Microbiology
  • Desirable Qualification: Ph.D or M.Phil in Microbiology/ Medical Microbiology
  • Desirable Experience: Working experience in the field of Microbiology or in Public Health after M.Sc.

Age Limit & Application Fee

  • Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026): Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years (Age relaxation for reserved candidates as per govt. norms).
  • Application Fee: Unreserved candidates: ₹100/-; Reserved Category candidates: ₹50/-

Selection Process

  • Applications will initially be shortlisted on the basis of academic qualification and experience.
  • Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Computer Test and Interview.
  • Marking Scheme:
    • M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology / M.Sc. in Microbiology: 50 Marks
    • Ph.D or M.Phil in Microbiology/ Medical Microbiology: 10 Marks
    • Experience: 10 Marks (2 marks for each completed year)
    • Computer Test: 15 Marks
    • Interview: 15 Marks
    • Total: 100 Marks
