Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, Diploma
The engagement of eligible candidates as Junior Engineers on contract basis in Electricity Department, Puducherry U.T on contract basis shall be as follows:
1.Post Name: Junior Engineer
2. Total Number of vacancies: 42
3. Desirable:
A Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering of a recognized University or A.M.I.E. (Electrical) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution/ technical board with 3 years of experience after acquiring Diploma in the field of operation and maintenance of power system transmission and distribution from a reputed industry/utility.
4. Diploma:
(i) The Diploma Course should have been approved by the AICTE; and
(ii) The Diploma Certificate should have been issued by a State Board of Technical Education.
5. Degree:
(i) The Degree Course should have been approved by the AICTE/UGC, as applicable to the institution offering the Degree Course; and
(ii) The Degree Certificate should have been issued by a recognized University/Institution.
(iii) In compliance with the policy of the AICTE & UGC on imparting technical education, the Diploma/Degree certificates obtained from Institutions/ Universities/ Deemed to be Universities through Distance Education Mode will not
be considered as valid qualification.
6. Experience:
a. The 3 years of experience should have been acquired in the field of operation and maintenance of power system transmission and distribution, not below the rank of technician category from a reputed industry/utility.
b. The validity and veracity of the experience certificate will be got verified by the Government and the decision of the Government shall be final in this regard. (The Diploma / Degree certificates obtained from various institutions such as I.A.S.E, Rajasthan , J.N.R.V. University, Rajasthan, V.M.R.F., Tamil Nadu, I.G.N.O.U., New Delhi through Distance Education Mode will not be considered as valid qualification)

Applicants fulfilling the eligibility criteria as mentioned above may apply online through the official website, “https://recruitment.py.gov.in” from 28.03.2022 (10:00 a.m.) to 18.04.2022 (05:00 p.m.) candidates are required to apply through “Online Mode” by following instructions mentioned in Part-I.
2. The hard copy of the online generated application along with self attested photocopies of the Degree / Diploma certificate, Experience certificate and all other testimonials as mentioned in online portal should be submitted to the “O/o. of the Superintending Engineer-cum-HoD, Electricity Department, No.137, N.S.C. Bose Road, Puducherry – 605001” on or before 5.00 PM of 25.04.2022 either in person or by post.
3. The application should be sent in an envelope superscribed as “Application For The Post Of Junior Engineer (Electrical) On Contract Basis 2022”. This Department shall not be responsible for any postal delay
