ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Pandeypur, Varanasi has released an official notification for the recruitment of Teaching Faculty and Senior Resident posts on contract basis. There are total 56 vacancies available for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Senior Resident. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Professor

• Essential: MD/MS in the concerned subject.
• Experience: Associate Professor in the subject for three years in a recognized medical institution OR Specialist Medical Officer of the Armed Forces with at least three years’ experience as Associate Professor. At least two research publications after becoming Associate Professor. Completion of Basic Course in Biomedical Research.

Eligibility for Associate Professor

• Essential: MD/MS in the concerned subject.
• Experience: Assistant Professor in the subject for four years (or five years if directly appointed in Govt. institution). At least two research publications after becoming Assistant Professor. Completion of Basic Course in Biomedical Research and Basic Course in Medical Education.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor

• Essential: MD/MS in the concerned subject (Non-medical candidates with M.Sc + Ph.D eligible for Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology).
• Experience: One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject OR Specialist Medical Officer with one year teaching/two years clinical experience after PG OR Non-teaching Consultant/Specialist with PG degree and two years experience in 220-bedded Govt. hospital.

Eligibility for Senior Resident

• Essential: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject.
• Experience: Up-to-date NMC/State Medical Council registration required. Experience requirements as per ESIC/NMC norms.

Age Limit

• Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): Not exceeding 69 years as on 10.01.2026 (Engagement permissible till 70 years).
• Senior Resident (Clinical): Up to 45 years as on 10.01.2026.
• Senior Resident (Non-Clinical): Up to 50 years as on 10.01.2026.

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 1,23,100/- (Fixed Basic Pay)
• Associate Professor: Rs. 78,800/- (Fixed Basic Pay)
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 67,700/- (Fixed Basic Pay)
• Senior Resident: Rs. 67,700/- (Fixed Basic Pay)

Application Fee

• SC/ST/ESIC Regular Employee/Female/Ex-servicemen/PH: Nil
• All Other Categories: Rs. 500/-
• Payment Mode: Demand Draft in favour of "ESI Fund A/c No.-1", payable at Varanasi.

Selection Process

Selection will be made based on acquired academic credentials and performance in the interview before the Selection Board.

4. On the interview date, carry the Original Application Form, all original documents, and DD to the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, 2nd Floor, Pandeypur, Varanasi between 09:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
