Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)

Educational Qualification

• For Specialist (9 Posts): PG Degree/Diploma in the concerned medical specialty. Must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI).
  • Experience: PG Degree holders with 3 years experience OR PG Diploma holders with 5 years experience after the diploma.
  • Preference: PG Degree holders are preferred.
• For Senior Resident (12 Posts): PG Degree/Diploma in the concerned medical specialty, registered with MCI.
  • Alternative: If PG candidates are unavailable, candidates with 2 years of experience after MBBS in the concerned specialty may be considered.
  • Restriction: Candidates who have completed 3 years of Senior Residency in any hospital are NOT eligible.

Age Limit & Relaxation

• Specialist: Maximum age 69 years as of the date of interview.
• Senior Resident: Maximum age 45 years as of the date of interview.
• Age as on Date: 25 February 2026.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC categories is applicable as per government rules.

Selection Process

Since this is a Walk-in Interview recruitment, there is no written exam. The selection is based on the interview performance.

1. Document Verification: Starts 1 hour before the interview time (at 08:00 AM).
2. Walk-in Interview: Candidates will be interviewed by the ESIC Hospital authority.
3. Reporting: Candidates must report at the MS Office between 09:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
4. Cut-off: Candidates reporting after 11:00 AM will not be considered.

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates will be engaged on a contractual basis. The salary varies based on qualification and post type:

Additional Terms:

• Security Deposit: Rs. 30,000/- (Demand Draft in favor of ESI Fund A/c No. 01, payable at Bhilai). Refundable after contract completion.
• Leave: Full-time specialists get 4 days/month. Part-time specialists are entitled to no leave.
• Insurance: Professional indemnity insurance is mandatory within 7 days of engagement (Rs. 30 Lakhs for Anesthesia/Neuro, Rs. 20 Lakhs for Surgery/Gynae, Rs. 10 Lakhs for others).
• Private Practice: Not allowed for Full-time specialists. Allowed for Part-time specialists.
• Contract Stamp: Contract must be signed on Rs. 500 Non-Judicial Stamp Paper (cost borne by candidate).
