Medical Specialist: Candidates Should have MD / DNB in General Medicine.
Gynecologist: Candidates Should have M.D / M.S / Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
OIC ECHS Polyclinic: Candidates Should have Retired Service Officer (Graduate) Drawing Pension (Non-Medical).
Medical Officer: Candidates Should have MBBS Degree from any Recognized University.
Dental Officer: Candidates Should have BDS Degree from any Recognized University.
Physiotherapist: Candidates Should have Diploma / Class-I Physiotherapist Course (Armed Forces).
Lab Technician: Candidates Should have B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology or Equivalent.
Lab Assistant: Candidates Should have DMLT / Class-I Laboratory Course (Armed Forces).
Pharmacist: Candidates Should have B. Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmacy.
Nurse Assistant: Candidates Should have GNM Diploma / Class-I Nursing Assistant Course.
Dental Hygienist / Assistant: Candidates Should have Diploma in Dental Hygiene / Class-I Armed Forces Course.
Driver: Candidates Should have 8th Class Passed with Civil Driving License.
Female Attendant: Candidates Should have Literate.
Chowkidar: Candidates Should have 8th Class Passed.
Safaiwala: Candidates Should have Literate.
Peon: Candidates Should have 8th Passed from Armed Forces.
IT Network Technician: Candidates Should have Diploma / Certificate in IT Networking.

The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is a flagship healthcare initiative launched by the Government of India to provide quality medical care to ex-servicemen and their dependents. ECHS functions through a network of polyclinics across India, along with tie-ups with private hospitals and diagnostic centers to expand its reach and accessibility.
The ECHS is contributory in nature, with a one-time subscription based on the rank of the retiree, allowing lifetime membership for beneficiaries. This scheme greatly enhances the post-retirement welfare of armed forces personnel, reducing the burden of medical expenses and ensuring dignified healthcare access. Beneficiaries are issued ECHS smart cards, which are essential for availing services at empaneled facilities.
